Painting with Purpose: Viet Aid Service Project

Viet Aid

Volunteers spent the better part of a cold, snowy Saturday (it's spring in Boston so of course it was snowing) giving a United Way partner agency, Viet Aid, a fresh face on their community center!

Volunteers taped, tarped, and tackled the project with great energy and humor. Especially when we realized we needed to wash dozens of rollers, brushes, and paint trays in the automatic bathroom sinks!

Viet Aid provides community development and children/youth programming for the Vietnamese-American community in Fields Corner, Boston. Their programs include day care, home buying classes, and martial arts training and as our guest speaker, Evelyn explained, all that means their first floor space takes a real beating. With several fresh coats of paint, members of the community are looking forward to a bright (green) future in the space!
